Litany - Thanks
To my left hand, with its royal blue smudges all along the pinky,
I thank you
And to static electricity, for making good use of a balloon,
I thank you too.
Thank you, thank you, to the plastic multicolored supersoaker
and to Michael Jackson's anti-gravity shoes
Gracias.
I give thanks to the almighty coin-changer
that replaces my need for thought with exact change,
and rolling wheels on luggage when I go to baggage claim.
I really liked the way you began with thanking the "royal blue smudges all along the pinky." Being left handed, it never fails to happen when I write! This is why I hate pencils, but I digress. It's a good thank you because it's annoying, but it also reminds you that you are writing. Which of course is good. :) Then you moved onto the static electricity and all the other thank yous the list provided. None of it connected, but it all made sense. There were also not an overabundance of thank you. It was switched up with gracias and "I give thanks." Good work :)
Thanks Kay. But I cheated a little. The super-soaker, anti-gravity shoes, coin changer and luggage wheels were all invented by African Americans! I went to the African American inventors presentation at the library on Wednesday. Thought it might be useful in my writing lol!
